Bridge My Community

With the vast availability of charities and not-for-profit organizations catering to specific causes, individuals are finding it more difficult to sort through organizations to ask for help. Bridge My Community, founded and run by Dylan & Lisa Gallagher (members at Southview), gives people an easy way to ask for help and allows the community to respond directly to their needs.

How does it work?

Bridge My Community "bridges" together people who need help with the people and organizations who want to help them.

The following 4 steps capture the entire process:
     1. Person A posts an anonymous request for help (food, clothing, furniture, etc.)
     2. Person B responds to Person A's help request by making a Commitment To Help.
     3. Person B prints off delivery slip and drops off item(s) at a Community Group.
     4. Person A is notified when item(s) have arrived, prints pickup slip and picks up the item
     at the Community Group.

How can you help?

If you need help or know someone who does, encourage them to visit the Bridge My Community website where they can post a Help Request.

If you would like to help someone, visit the Bridge My Community website and respond to a Help Request.
