Club 56 Year End Party

May 10

The school year is coming to an end, and for some of us that means our time in Club 56 is too!

We invite you to join us here at Southview Church for an evening to celebrate this year. We will have time to celebrate our grade 6 students moving on to youth group and to get grade 5s excited for next year.

There will be group games, time to chat, and ice cream snacks.

Parent volunteers are welcome and much appreciated.

Southview Social

May 11 & 12

Bring your favourite home-cooked treats and plan to stick around after a service on the weekend of May 11 & 12. Southview Socials are one of the important ways we aim to build community and connection at Southview.

For our May social, feel free to bring a ball our outdoor game as well. The snow should be melted by then, right?

… right?

Youth: Hulls Woods Evening

May 17

Join us at Fish Creek on Friday, May 17 for a fire, friends, and lots of outdoor games! We’re kicking off the nice weather with a night in the park. To attend, please register through Realm. No walk-ins will be accepted for this event.

Only a parent or guardian is permitted to register their child for this event. An informed letter of consent is included that must be signed. Due to this event being off-site, we are not accepting registrations for guests – parents must register their own child.

Grade 6 Youth Night

May 21

Welcome to Youth nights!

On Tuesday, May 21st, students in grade 6 going into grade 7 are invited to be a part of that week’s youth gathering.

The first hour is time to hang out and play games and the last hour is a message and small group time.

While the event is free, registration is required for Safe Ministry and accurate numbers.

MAY 18 & 19

Pentecost celebrates the coming of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles and other followers of Jesus in the Upper Room (Acts 2). This celebration reminds us that each Christ-follower needs the power of the Holy Spirit so that we can do the work of discipleship, and that the Holy Spirit was given to us as promised after Jesus’ ascension. Traditionally, this is a weekend set aside to celebrate Baptism. At Southview, we celebrate by holding services we call “Come and Be Baptized.” All are welcome at these services, and anyone can choose to be baptized during a service! Please be praying for the leading of the Holy Spirit in this as we celebrate together.
