There are moments when God speaks to us in powerful ways that challenge our assumptions or maybe just shake us up a bit. The discovery of the unmarked grave of 215 children on the grounds of a former residential school in Kamloops has been one of those moments.

The Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada profoundly grieves the recent revelation of the deaths of 215 indigenous children in Kamloops, B.C. Our heart goes out to their families, their home communities, and to all First Nations across Canada.

Within the span of 11 months, I had two miscarriages, one significant car accident and a breast cancer diagnosis. I was 37 years old.
